Interconnected Energy System

Development of a future energy system, which seamlessly supports the users and efficiently integrates large shares of renewable energy, requires closely integrated sub-systems of electricity, heating/cooling, transport, and gas. Integration of the energy sector with other domains like transportation, water supply, and smart cities are also important aspects.

Our research addresses new market designs and energy exchange methods at both local and regional scale, as well as stronger interconnection and more real-time solutions ensuring stability and reliability in a renewable-based energy system.

Our research within ‘Interconnected Energy System’ helps our stakeholders develop new cost-effective and robust solutions.
