Peter obtained a MSc in Informatics in 2008 and his PhD in 2013, both from DTU. His main educational background is within soft ware architecture, communication technology and optimization - skills which have been applied in smart grid research. He has also pursued work, both through courses and practical experience, within scientific project management. Peter has, during his PhD, been part of the EDISON project, a comprehensive study on electric vehicle (EV) integration.
Currently, Peter is working as project and WP leader in the Danish Nikola project which was launched to thoroughly investigate and demonstrate the potential of electric vehicles in the future power system. Besides from Nikola, Peter contributes to a number of national and international research projects. The work in EDISON and Nikola have resulted in a long list of publications and the supervision of numerous student projects.
In the future, experiences and results gained within EV integration can be applied to a number of other applications in the future smart grid.
