Ziwei Ouyang Assistant Professor from the Electronics Group at DTU Electrical Engineering was the winner of the "Young Engineer Award" and was honoured at the opening ceremony by the members of the Advisory Board.

The PCIM Asia 2014 conference is the leading international user-oriented conference on power electronics and its applications in motion, renewable energy and energy management.

It is held in parallel to a large PCIM exhibition, which has 79 exhibitors on 5,000 square meters in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center in China.

The number of visitors has increased to 4,385. The comprehensive conference program with numerous oral and poster sessions as well as seminars and tutorials provides state-of-the-art application know-how on power electronics.

Specialists from all over the world gave reports in first publications on their latest products and applications and were available for technical discussions.

Outstanding contributions of "Winner of the Young Engineer Award" were honoured by the members of the Advisory Board, who met  met the following criteria best:

- Originality (first publication),

- topicality, and

- the age of the main author (not older than 35 years).

The award ceremony and speech are both part of the PCIM Asia Conference 2014 opening ceremony.
