DTU team with their robot DTUnicorn won second place at the annual Field Robot Event 2015 taking place this year in Slovenia
DTUnicorn with Signe Munch, Simon Larsen, Joakim Langkilde and Mads Ladefoged Hjertstedt got a fine second place at the robot tournament Field Robot Event 2015 which took place in Slovenia at the University of Maribor 15-17 June 2015.
The theme of the Field Robot Event is 'Agriculture and Robots' and has previously been won by another DTU team. This year 20 teams participated.
The fine second place became a reality after having got a solid third place in the first task 'Basic Navigation' and was consolidated by winning the most challenging task, task three, 'Weed Detection'.
The team consists of four BEng students in Electrical Engineering who completed course 31388 'Advanced Autonomous Robots' this spring and surely gave them a good foundation for the fine and indeed excellent place. Congratulations to the team!
