IEPE project’s Annual Workshop at Aalborg University (AAU) on 2 and 3 June 2014

The Intelligent Efficient Power Electronics (IEPE) is a research platform involving three universities and four Danish leading high technology companies with the primary goal of demonstrating the usability of new technologies in producing more efficient products.

On June 2^nd and 3^rd PhD student from the Electronics Group Juan Carlos Hernández Bottella received the “Best IEPE Poster Award 2014” – DKK5,000 - at the IEPE workshop held at Aalborg University for his poster presentation on the project “Single phase power factor correction using wide band gap devices” where Juan is investigating the feasibility of using gallium nitride (GaN) devices in single phase active power correction circuits.
