Our partners from Eldor Technology participated in the Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) conference that took place on 27-30 August in Stavanger, Norway.

In a technical session on Digital operations and Artificial Intelligence, managing director of Eldor Technology, Bjarne André Asheim, gave a presentation on Artificial intelligence for real time control. ONS gave the following description for this session: “The application of robotics or autonomous technologies in offshore oil and gas is seemingly endless and the industry has only scratched the surface of what is possible. What is the potential for more effectiveness and autonomy in operations of offshore oil & gas facilities?”

Eldor Technology was also present in the exhibition area at ONS Innovation Park 2018, where the Norwegian Research Council had arranged a shared stand. Our Eldor colleagues were showcasing AlarmTracker, the product that they are developing in collaboration with our team of DTU researchers

Professor Emeritus Morten Lind was there for part of the event. He provided more insight into the methodology behind AlarmTracker, Multilevel Flow Modeling.

When the product will be launched, in the summer of 2019, it will provide control room operators with real-time information on root causes of faults in the system and possible counteractions for them. This facilitates the decision-making process and leads to an increase in production and a decrease in down-time.
