Wednesday 11 May DTU, Risø Campus will host the iPower closing event. The iPower project has been running for almost 5 years now. iPower is a Strategic Platform for Innovation and Research in Intelligent Power The iPower platform has been granted a support of 60 million DKK over 5 years from SPIR - Strategic Platform for Innovation and Research.
The project is headed by Henrik W. Bindner from DTU Electrical Engineering and it has 34 external partners.
Vision
The vision of iPower is to enable the following development:

Reduce technology and business uncertainty and thereby evolve a new Smart Grid ecosystem of industries and business cases. Thereby investment risks will be mitigated and large-scale deployments of research-based innovative coherent Smart Grid solutions where customers, distributed energy resources and distribution grids interact seamlessly through markets, control and ICT will be enabled.

Denmark will be an international Smart Grid hub creating green growth, export and jobs. Through a fruitful innovation and research collaboration a strong environment for Smart Grid development will be established.
