EnergyLab Nordhavn Kickoff

Tuesday 16 Jun 15

EnergyLab Nordhavn – New Urban Energy Infrastructures

Over the next four years the project EnergyLab Nordhavn – New Urban Energy Infrastructures will develop and demonstrate future energy solutions. The project utilizes Copenhagen’s Nordhavn as a full-scale smart city energy lab and demonstrates how electricity and heating, energy-efficient buildings and electric transport can be integrated into an intelligent, flexible and optimized energy system.

The project participants are: DTU, City of Copenhagen, CPH City & Port Development, HOFOR, DONG Energy, ABB, Balslev, CleanCharge, METRO THERM, Glen Dimplex and the PowerLab facilities. The project is supported by EUPD (Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Programme).

EnergyLab Nordhavn

On june 9, 50 members of the EnergyLab Nordhavn team gathered at DTU Risø  Campus to get a common picture of the heat and electricity markets and - just as importantly - meet new colleagues from other organizations. The project brings together people from industry, consultants, authorities, utilities, metropolitan development and university in order to take up its very complex challenge.  Meeting face to face across tasks and work packages is important to facilitate communication, establish relations and discover opportunities in the project.
