On 24 March 2014, the Department of Electrical Engineering was paid two prominent visits in one day. PowerLabDK at the Center for Electric Power and Energy (CEE) attracted both the EUDP Board and a visit from the Danish political party, Radikale Venstre
At CEE the day began with a visit from the EUDP Board at PowerLabDK’s experimental facilities. DTU and EUDP work closely together focusing on commercialization of DTU’s research results and new energy technology. EUDP was interested in learning about the establishment of PowerLabDK as well as the projects that use the experimental platform for research, demonstration, test, education and training.
On the same day, Morten Helveg Petersen – the leading candidate for the European Parliament from Radikale Venstre – visited PowerLabDK. He was accompanied by the Minister for Higher Education and Science, Sofie Carsten Nielsen. The two politicians and their delegation were especially interested in DTU’s activities and projects within green energy and growth creation as well as student exchange and attraction of researchers.
